The start of are Super Suicide Society of the summer session was fantastic. Everyone was so excited and that made me excited. We met every night and initiating a new member every night! As a rule Gene and I opened the meeting by jumping out of the trees ourselves since we were the lead roles of the club. Meeting every night was better because we could talk about a new problem every day and always have it fresh in are mind. That way we could stop any issue within the club. True we did miss some classes and meals but hey the club was more important. Speaking of issues Devon’s summer sports where horrible! They had Badminton!!!! The worse came on the planet! I don’t think it even counts as a sport! I knew I had to get out of it because it was just awful…but gene didn’t seem to mind it and that was weird. So to replace this awful game I created a new game. Blitzkrieg Ball was naturally a great game. We all played it on the way to the river and it was a great time. It turned out to be so good that everyone played it. Later we went to the pool and I beat the record held by A. Hopkins Parker. Gene wanted to get the reporter but that wasn’t the point so I didn’t let hit. After swimming I decided that we should go to the ocean and the beach. After all it’s the only real swimming, cuz when u swim in a pool it’s not swimming.

"He could also shine at many other things, with people for instance,the others in our dormitory, the faculty; ih fact if you if you stopped to think think about it,Finny could shine with everyone, he met." (Gene page 32)- Showing that Finny is a very personable person and likes everyone he meets.
