We slept on the dunes last night because we didn’t want to leave the beach. For a dune bed it wasn’t that made I had a really good night sleep. Gene was already up by the time I awoke. I wanted to go for a swim but Gene didn’t…so I went anyway why should I wait for him I wasn’t gonna pass on this opportune moment of a morning swim! We made it back to school ate lunch and played a game of Blitzkrieg ball before we had are Super Suicide Society of the Summer Session. Has Gene and I sat in our room I told him that he worked too hard. He took offense and I called him out. Then he told me something that I already knew, he wants to be valedictorian…big surprise there…not! I went back to reading but Gene didn’t so I told him to relax but he got offensive again. Days went on and Gene and I didn’t talk much we just studied. Later I told him that Leper was going to jump of the tree! Well I helped him decide but how cares he was finally going to do it! Gene pointed out that he probably wouldn’t but hey it was worth a chance! Then he flipped because I said we had to go and I realized that he wanted to study…but when I asked him he wouldn’t and just came along any way. When we got to the tree I climbed up and all of the sudden I lost my balance and fell…
